Services are entered for a customer order (service order) in ems Web via the “Services” tab.
There are various ways of recording services:
- via the search in the article catalog
- via the selection of favorites
- via direct input
Catalog search
The articles can be selected via the search in the catalog of already created articles. To do this, click on Search in the menu bar, enter the first letters of the service item in the search field, select the required items and accept. Plus is used to accept an item without specifying the quantity: only one piece of this item is entered, the quantity must be changed subsequently.

Favorites
If you have added certain services that you use particularly often to your favorites, you can also select the items from Favorites. To do this, click on the Favorites icon in the menu bar, enter the required number and finish with Apply.

Record services directly
Services can also be entered directly. This is primarily intended for items that are not in the article master (there are no articles created for them). Accordingly, there is no invoicing for such items; instead, the price must be set manually during invoicing. Evaluations etc. are also not possible.
For direct service entry, the fields article number (for articles from the article master), article description, possibly a comment on the article, quantity with unit of measurement (entered manually), purchase and sales prices must be completed.
When entering a service not from the article master, the message “The article with the EMS code was not found” appears and the item is assigned article number 100.
Article text
The article text can be changed directly in the order(pencil symbol), provided it does not originate from an article in the master data. The catalog item texts are highlighted in grey and cannot be edited.
Comments / remarks on articles
For each service, a comment can be added to the item in addition to the item text. This can contain a description / scope of the service or other information.
